It had been a crazy couple of days. First, after just minding his own business, some dumb dogs decided to mess with Nero’s great day. Being how the stallion was, he had to make a run for it and, thankfully, got away safely when he crossed a river. After a long night of hiding in the brushes, he made it.

Now, he had to decide where to go today. Maybe to the plains? Maybe he would go and find some mares to join him on his travels. He lay in the bushing think of what to do and where to go. His throat suddenly burned from thirst. Shrugging, the stallion stood shaking leaves and dirt from his creamy coat. He pushed his way through the branches to the river bank. He trotted to the water’s edge. He thrusted his head most of the way into the cool water. He had not realized how thirsting he had been. When his lungs began to burn, Nero pulled his head above the water with a gasp. He lowered his nose for one last drink when something silvery flipped out of the water, hitting Nero in the cheek. He jerked his head back in surprise. WHAT WAS THAT?!? He turned and saw a little fish flopping on the bank.

‘Seriously?’ The stallion thought, ‘how is this my life.’ He moved his hoof to push the fish back to the water. A loud caw made him jump.

“Horse, don’t do that now. I haven’t had a bit to eat in many days. That fish, I want it.” The bird, a raven stated.

Nero looked the bird over. It was a dark shade of blue/black with crystal clear eyes that seemed to look through him. “Umm, sure? I guess since you’re hungry and all.” Nero picked up the wiggling fish’s tail and carried it over the delighted raven.

He had barely raised his head before the bird snatched the fish from him. In a flash, the fish was gone and the raven puffed up in satisfaction. “So, horse, think you can get me more of those little delights?”

Nero snorted at the bird. “First off, it’s Nero, not horse. And second, I’m not a fisher but if you want you watch the river from my back, you are welcomed to…?” He trailed off leaving the raven to answer him.

“Periwinkle, but everyone calls me Peri, horse.” A mischievous glint in it’s eyes. It hopped off of the overhead branch onto Nero’s back. “Now, to the river!”
DI|Nero|Stallion

Feeling quite thirsty from the events of the other night, you decide to get a drink, making your way to the river bank and lowering your head as you puckered your lips. You take long full gulps of water, the liquid cooling and refreshing. You were feeling quite relaxed when suddenly, SLAP! Out of nowhere a fish comes flying out of the water, slapping you on the cheek and rebounding onto the bank. You stare at it with wide eyes, unsure as to how to proceed. You were going to push it back into the water when you hear a loud bird call, a raven was watching you intently from the cover of the trees. What do you do?

A] Push the fish back into the water.
B] Offer the fish to the raven.

[SIDE QUEST]

You stare up at the raven for a moment, and it caws loudly, fluffing up its feathers as it shakes the branch it's perched on. With a shrug, you bend down and grab the fish’s tail, flinging the small creature up into the air. The raven quickly responded, launching out of the tree as it dug its claws deep into the fish’s flesh. It caws happily, returning to the tree branch as it begins to eat, and you smile politely. Seems like it was hungry after all.

The Raven caws loudly at you as it finishes the fish and swoops you, pulling your mane with his talons before he flies off. How rude and unappreciative?
